Dear Family and Friends,
I first of all want to apologize and repent publicly for being a spoiled grouchy teenage girl. I try not to let many people know I'm having a hard time but the past couple of Preparation days I have let a lot slip. Thank you all for still being supportive even when I whine and complain. Our Heavenly Father has given us so many blessings and it is FAR too often that I don't recognize them. I love my mission more than anything in the world. I'm so grateful to be out here.
One of the greatest miracles that we've witnessed this week is about a woman named Carla. Carla's brother just recently joined the church down in Lancaster. With a little bit of greenie member fire of his own he has shared it with his sister. Carla has been through a lot and she already recognizes the need of the Savior in her own life. She also recognizes that we are servants of Him and that we can help her get there. She's an incredible woman and we're so excited to work with her.
Going along with my selfishness this week I studied this morning Alma 37. At the end of the chapter He talks about looking to God... Something so simple. I often think about the children of Israel not looking to Moses and his staff when he promised that we would be able to heal them. How often do we refuse to find peace and comfort in our Savior because it's incredibly simple to ask for it. He is always there. As missionaries we invite all to "look to God and LIVE". I invite you all to do so this week!

Hello all,
Next week Ill be able to hear the video. Sorry, it looks very nice! I did see I love you, and I love you too! This was a week was full of miracles. I'll start with yesterday because its fresh on my mind. They changed p-day to today because of the holiday and so now we had no plans because we don't plan over p-day. Well, luckily we were told early so we were able to make two appointments during those hours. So when we walked out it was hot, but we said, "its going to be a great day!" even though we had no evidences yet. Later, like forty seconds, my tire was flat on my bike. We fixed that and started again 3 minutes later (just needed air) and again we said, " Its going to be the best day." We continued like that the whole day even until 9pm saying that it was going to be a great day and it ended up being like that. We found a guy on his porch taught him about Jesus Christ and Baptism He now has a baptismal date. We went with a member and taught a lesson to a new investigator we found Sunday. She let us in and we taught the restoration. Our member bore his testimony saved the chance to get a return appointment, invited her to church and she has a baptismal date as well. Later we found the brother of the man we were looking for. He doesn't have a church and feels lost. He told us that he liked reading Genesis, Exodus and Psalms. I told him that I bet he would like Alma as well which sparked questions. We read Alma's conversion story and he liked it a lot and invited us back. No baptism yet for him. It wasn't the time yet but he will have one wednesday as well as his brother. We saw a less active and She cooked us great food and i ate crickets for the first time. It actually didn't taste too bad. It tasted kinda like lemon sun flower seeds I guess. Haha. It really showed me how important it is to have a good attitude no matter what. I hadn't really seen a big difference like that before but it works. We had a lot of success among the black community too. I don't have tons of time to expand on that but two men have accepted baptism as well. The next goal is to figure out the situation with people at church.The best part is that all but one of the baptismal dates that we have are set are for my birthday. Hopefully that will be one of my birthday presents. We met a man from Mexico that almost got baptized there but then wasn't able to pull himself through the gate. When we talked to him he asked how long it would take to get baptized and if he could go around with us, and about tithing. Super cool working hard, being obedient, with a good attitude.

Hello to all!
This has been the craziest week yet! But before I get to the stories I want to say my headaches have gone away and thanks for all the prayers, they were felt!
This week the work really shot through the roof! Monday of last week we were walking to the bank to exchange some money. The Neüotting Elders needed to get some money for the week as well. On the way back from the bank, a man eating a döner at a table outside, asked us what church we were from. We told him the we were missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He then gave us his number and said he wanted us to call him and set up a time to learn more about the church. We called him and met with him last Wednesday and taught him the Restoration of the Gospel. It was a good lesson. He is Romanian and speaks very little german, but enough to communicate. So the whole time we were playing the ultimate game of charades trying to help him understand what we were teaching him. He just didn't quite get it, but invited us to come back over on the following Saturday. When we went he ended up inviting his family and his friends to hear the message we had for them. So instead of just teaching Alex, we were teaching 5 more people and have another 10 he wants to introduce us to! They, as well as Alex. can't speak german... We were able to invite them to church even though they knew they wouldn't be able to understand. They came! Now here are two crazy, behind the scene, parts to this story! Before I start, I have to explain the layout of the city. If you start at our apartment and go straight on the road that we live on, there is a bank and then the döner shop where we met Alex. Next, there is the Bank that we were able to use to exchange our currency. We had tried 3 times to go to the first bank that would transfer my money and every time we went, something stopped us from being able to do it. When we were able to finally exchange currency at the final bank, and were leaving, Alex stopped us. The reason this is so crazy, is that if any of the first three times we went to go exchange money, and we had, then we would have just gone to the normal bank and never would have passed Alex.
Now, part two of craziness. There is only one elder in the whole mission that can speak Romanian. He had been in Switzerland his whole mission. Normally, once you're in Switzerland you are always in Switzerland. Not only that, he had been Zone leader in Switzerland. Last transfer he got transferred to be the ZL in the München Zone, which is unheard of for someone to go from being a ZL to ZL. If he wouldn't have been in München then he wouldn't have been unable to joint teach with us this week just like we are going to do! God loves each and every one of his children and makes things line up perfect so they can hear of the gospel in any case!!
Now Story number two. We have places here in Germany called Asylheims. They are a shelter place for africans who are tying to get away from dangerous situations back home and start a new life. And they stay in these heims until they have worked and have become contributing citizens to the community where they live. And once they achieve that, they become citizens and can move out of the heim. But we have a member who has been less active but is now officially active his name is Albert and he lives in the heim. Three weeks ago Bayo (bio is how you say it) moved into the same room as Albert. And as we were teaching Albert last Tuesday, he introduced us to Bayo and Bayo invited us to teach him about the stuff we were talking to Albert about. We met with him and taught him the Restoration but had to teach it very slow so that he could understand it, He really wants to have Christ be a bigger part of his life and to quit smoking. We challenged him to pick a date for a baptismal goal, and thus, we have our first baptismal date in Oktober!
The work here in Landshut is about to explode and I don't want to hear the work is hard here or there or you won't have any success there or in that area, because we don't decide that. The Lord puts people where they need to be when they need to be and He knows His children. He is going to do anything for them and we as missionaries need that faith and to allow ourselves to be God's vessels and to bring the world his truth. When we do that, and do His will and forget the things of this world and serve diligently WE WILL SEE THE SHEPHERD GATHER HIS SHEEP.

Go big or go home! Um I will consider the proposition of the sister
missionary that May or may not have the chance to see me on a date
after this time of service that we are currently rendering for The
Lord. I don't know his English thing. I just say words now and hope
they still work. We still talk quite a bit of English but we talk a
lot of Spanish too. It's hard sometimes to remember to talk Spanish
when you just want to tell a story super fast. So elder minnich and I
will slightly be parting ways tomorrow. He stays and trains and I
leave to other side of bridgeton. We have some cleaning up to do.
Flojos. Good people just didn't spend time wisely. Speaking of the
elders that are leaving the side of bridgeton that I'm taking over.
So it will be a challenge but I'm going to out do elder minnich haha.
He doesn't even know what's coming. This transfer we contacted roughly
500 people that are older than eight and non members. Woooo hard work
for days. We had some really cool lessons and awkward moments like
when the lady was backing up next to the door we were knocking she hit
the pole. And then it was her house we were knocking. Awkward. We also
met a lady and she said she lived far away and we had a really good
conversation with her. We were then looking for a guy we had met and
we knocked the door and the door was upstairs and around back so
pretty secluded and then it was her door! Crazy loco. Super awkward.
But we also taught a lesson with a counselor from the stake presidency
and he introduced us to old investigators that lost contact with the
missionaries. The are super prepared and it was one of the most
spiritual lessons I've had. He really knew how to be a member present
and I finally used first nephi 2:16-17 really well instead of
stumbling over a way to apply it smoothly. So that was good. Lots of
good things. We will keep it up

Dear
Sounds like you all had a blast. I'm excited to go to lake Powell for
the first time. We had a really cool experience where we contacted a
man Maximo and he actually came to church that's the first time on my
mission! Woooooo! He should be pretty solid. Lots of people did we
meet this week. Elder turner is a really good missionary he was Elder
Minnichs companion for five months. He is really good about following
the spirit. I'm going to learn a lot this transfer. I'm running out
of time to hit all the Jersey areas though. I only have two left. We
will see it will be a good run. My address is 12 franklin st.

Dearest Family and Friends!
This has been an interesting week. After Cancellation after cancellation, door after door slammed in our faces, nothing seeming to go right at all, hard and exhausting work, we saw Eric get baptized. In all honesty I would go through the worst days on the mission everyday if it meant getting to help Eric. I've never seen somebody so happy.
I had a dream the other night where I was trapped in all these sins. I was dropping deep and deeper into this darkness and I couldn't breathe. It actually woke me up in the middle of the night. After realizing that I was safe and that I wasn't getting pulled down I knelt in prayer and thanked God for my Savior's atonement. I'm so grateful that through him we can be forgiven of all our faults. I love him with my whole heart and I owe everything to him. Eric bore his testimony after being baptized and he talked about having all that guilt get swept away. He said he was "Grateful to finally be clean again". It's moments like this that make it all worth it.

Dear Family and Friends!
Sorry I was a slacker this week and have to get off soon so this won't be too long.
This was a way fun week! I love my companion! She is so much fun! Heavenly Father is always looking out for us especially with being on bikes. Just the other day I prayed that we wouldn't get too wet and we didn't get a drop on us. Every time we went into a building it would start to rain, but as soon as we were getting ready to leave it would stop. Just a simple example of God's love, but something that I really couldn't deny.
Eric is doing really well. He is really excited for his baptism! We made him clean out the font to get him in the spirit of things and because the font really needed to be cleaned.. After killing spiders and mopping the walls he got to try on his baptismal suit. He keeps talking about how cool it will be to get sealed to someone. It's his favorite part of the gospel and I have to admit that it's my favorite part as well.

Dear Family and Friends
So this week as been a lot better! I went to Passau at the beginning of the week on an austausch, and it was way cool to stay where Elder Russell stayed and live during his mission! And Landshut is also somewhere he stayed and it is literally the smallest apartment in the mission and i am sure Eric can attest to that if he has been there! Highlight of the week though was our sportabend mit der Jungerlischer that we have every thursday! So last p-day me and elder Garrett bought cleats on a huge sale and they only cost like 25 euro. we got them because we play every week like 3-4 time for fruhsport and sportabend! but we went out and were totally keeping up with the germans and in fact i scored the first goal of the night!!! So basically i am just as good as Joe Wheelwright or even the german national football team hahah just kidding! We are having a lot of fun here in Landshut but always working hard and trying to find those people that need the gospel and are searching for it. We are so close with the guy named Mike but he is very different in the fact that he interprets the Scriptures like no one that i know and doesn't believe in truth being a real thing saying there is no truth in religion but we have been more bold with him lately like Elder Killpack Senior was and it has helped tremendously and are planning on having a baptismal date this week with him and hopeful will baptize him before the end of the year! Today we went to Dachau a concentration camp and it was way cool and way interesting to see the place where it actually happened!!
It is so weird to hear about all my friends leaving on missions! Madison sent me a picture of her and Hannah at Joe's Farewell and it was the weirdest feeling ever because I wasn't there and to think he is now on a mission too is crazy!!! But it is good that i am where i am and serving along side Joe!! Can't wait to see all the guys when i go home but i don't want to even think about leaving this amazing land of GERMANY!!

Dear Family,
Pretty crazy week here in Deutschland. So I thought my headache was gone but it hit super hard on monday night and felt like my brain was going to come out of my head. So on tuesday we went to the doctors and she said to just try and sleep it off because it might be a lack of sleep or my body is just worn out. I slept for 18 hours in one day and it was miserable i never want to sleep that much again. I hate just sitting there doing nothing and not being able to go outside and be productive. But after all this sleep and not doing anything for a day and a half I still had a massive headache, then we went to the Neurologist and i got hooked up to a death trap, i mean a cap with a bunch of probes haha. But the could´t find anything wrong but said like dad did that it is probably altitude sickness and gave me medicine for it and now i am good! The crazy part of this story is what happened on monday night. So my head had really been bothering me for about 4 hours and it was time for us to go home, so 9 o clock. And on our way home from the bahnhof we found two people. The first one was really interested in what we had to say but said church is for the weak and he doesn't need a church. Elder Garrett was a little upset because this guy was contradicting himself and was ready for the gospel but just needed the desire to have a church. So after we were done talking with him My headache started getting really bad and i felt like i was going to pass out while walking home. I was getting really light headed and way bad shivers and was about to tell Elder Garrett to help me down because i felt like i was about to pass out, but right before i did we met George. Elder Garrett was still frustrated with the last guy so he made me contact him... in German and i did and as we started talking he told us his story in short form and here is how it goes. He moved to Germany 20 years ago and took lessons from the missionaries 18 years ago and then he send for some reason the missionaries stopped coming and said we wanted to take the lessons again. We asked him if he had ever been to church he send no and i invited him right there to come and he accepted and was really excited for us to show him around the church and to come teach his family of 5 he has 3 kids and a wife. He didn't end up coming to church because of a death of a friends mom, but said he still wanted to meet with us the next week and we are way excited to teach him. After we talked with him i had enough strength to make it home to the apt. before i crashed way hard and my head hurt more than it ever had. The Lord is aware of us and helps us in ways that we would never expect! I love missionary work!!!
