Dear Family and Friends,

We are all staying in bridgeton again. This transfer will only be five

weeks long. It won't be too bad, we will have thanksgiving here.  We will

just miss Christmas. Oh well. This week we had a pancake buffet that

only cost a dollar. That was a lot of fun. Amish people are the best.

We taught a man that wanted to learn but then decided he wasn't interested. 

As we taught him, we made it very clear that he had his choices. He admitted 

that he knew we were telling the truth but that it wasn't his time. He chose

to walk in darkness instead of light which he also agreed was true. It

was a super sad lesson. Sometimes you just want to make people do the

right thing but you can't. We went to Philly today and had a good

time. I still remember where everything is so maybe I'll start a tour

guide business haha. We passed Camden. I still miss it.  I heard

great news that Maribel and Miguel Vargas are getting married and

baptized in two weeks. I'm so excited for them. Hopefully I get to go. 

Maybe you can pray for that. Haha. We are going to get some people

baptized here. And we will keep walking in the snow when it comes and

we might start knocking more doors. We normally keep to street

contacting but this area is something different. Fun side note, I

haven't driven since August 2nd 2013 so I might be rusty. Well back to

the Bridgeton grind!

Dear Family, 

Well this week was a bit slower. We had to go inside  early on

Thursday and Friday for Halloween and mischief night. On friday a

member made us  go with him to help him buy an I pad because he wants

to be just like the missionaries. Good ole Agusto. We had a branch

party that didnt get a  big show up. They almost tried to blame us but

then didn't because we made the kids happy. We ran races and played

limbo and stuff it was really good. Its starting to get cold out here

but we are prepared. We are going to see what will happen this week

with transfers. We are doing our best to help the Mexican village of

Bridgeton grow into a place filled with truth. This week people tried

to get after us a little bit but it is okay because we have the truth.

Some people get mad when we say that this is the only true church

but that's the way it is. I have  found that my desire to help people

comes from not hiding the truth at all, but just letting people know what

it is that leads them to eternal life. I'm sure it wasn't popular for

Christ to say that He was the way to heaven but that's how it is. I

learned something interesting from the Latin bible. When they use the

word Offendit the translation actually comes out stumble so when

people get offended by the truth they become their own stumbling

block. But naturally we have to be kind when stating the truth. Haha.

The gospel is true and I find that we live it best when we try to

share it. I feel that if everyone lived with missionary work in mind

obedience to the commandments would easily come because every

principle you teach causes inward reflection and no one likes to be an

open hypocrite. Love you all

CLEAR FORK! 

Ohio kills me.. 

So I'm in a new area with a new companion and I'm still trying to adjust and stop my head from spinning. Everyone was predicting that I would be the one to leave Marysville next, but when it actually happened I really wasn't prepared. but I'm here now and I love it!

I'm with Sister Phelps! She's from Spanish Fork, Utah and she's beautiful. She's a hard worker that likes to have a lot of fun. She's been out 7 1/2 months and started her mission off at OSU. I can tell I'm going to learn a lot from her! She sees the good in everyone. 

The Clear Fork ward is just a tiny little thing. Definitely not like Marysville and NOTHING like Hilliard. It's going to be a new experience, but I'm ready for it. This area has seen a lot of growth in the past and hopefully that growth will continue onward. 

Our area is huge so it makes it really hard to watch our miles especially when we live 30 minutes away from the Church. We ended up going to the top of our area this past week to visit a media referral. His name is Kevin and he's looking forward to going to the temple soon! We just have to teach him the lessons, make sure he keeps his commitments, and is truly converted. Other than that we've been working on finding a lot the past couple of days.

Hallo zu allem!!

Well this week we had a great experience. We had the opportunity to give 3 priesthood blessings. We gave one of our Investigators,  Mike, a blessing because he wanted to feel the Priesthood and begin to understand it so he can decide if it is something he needs. That was just such an amazing experience to let him feel of the power of God. The other night Elder Garrett was feeling sick before bed so we went to bed a little early and then Elder Garrett woke me up at 1 in the morning. He told me that he had been up since 11 with a massive headache and it just wouldn't  go away, and that he wanted me to give him a blessing. I gladly agreed and it was just cool to see that the priesthood is available to us whenever we need it. It was also cool to hear Elder Garrett tell me in the morning that he is grateful for the priesthood power and how it does work for us when we have faith. He was able to fall asleep after the blessings and be able to work the next day!! The last blessing we gave to another investigator named Edith. She lives with an inactive member. The inactive member loves the missionaries and invites them over all the time but does´t like the ward and won't come to church... It is still a great opportunity to be able to teach her and our investigator Edith. So anyways Edith had been in the hospital the last 3 weeks and the inactive member asked us to give Edith a blessing. We went last wednesday and gave her a blessing. She passed away the next morning. She was 60 and now is in a better place and completely healthy. The member asked us to conduct the funeral. We will see how that goes. Elder Garret and I get to give talks during the service and did I mention in GERMAN? I am way nervous to give a talk at a funeral because A) its in German, and B) I only met Edith three times, and C) It´s a funeral. I know that God will help me and will let the people know of the love I have for Edith and them! The best part about giving a talk that comforts me is that it isn't always the words you say that matters but that the people can feel the spirit and I trust that the Lord will make that happen!!

Dear Family and Friends,

This week was an incredible one! It started off slow. As if usually does. I was feeling really down about myself and about my mission. There got to a point when I even got angry that Heavenly Father wasn't giving us success. I'm so grateful for the atonement though and that He can forgive me of that. We went to interviews and President Daines obviously saw that I was down. He told me that the difference between having success and just working yourself to death is faith. So I had faith and we got someone put on date! Her name is Carla and she is on date for November 22. Hence the title: It can't be that easy. 

But it is. God is always blessing us. 

"Part of our challenge is, I think, that we imagine that God has all of His blessings locked in a huge cloud up in heaven, refusing to give them to us unless we comply with some strict, paternalistic requirements He has set up. But the commandments aren’t like that at all. In reality, Heavenly Father is constantly raining blessings upon us. It is our fear, doubt, and sin that, like an umbrella, block these blessings from reaching us."-President Dieter F. Uchtdorf 

I know that if we have faith we can truly move mountains (Matthew 17:20)

I hope that everyone can recognize all the little blessings in life and allow our Heavenly Father to give us even more than we can comprehend. 

Another miracle! We found Eric! He disappeared on us for a while and we found him again! Talk about leaving the 99 and looking for the 1. My joy was certainly full. 

OH! AND I always was able to go to the temple.. I've been pretty spoiled. 

Thank you all for all the love and support you give me each and every day. I don't know where I would be without you. I love you all so much.
