Hello Everyone,

Yeah everything is going great. We found three people and they all
said they could be baptized. That's pretty sweet I guess... We are
going to keep working hard and find all the people because we know they are
out there. We talk to like 20 people a day. Some are drunk, others are solid.
I am starting to get good at using parables. The
other day I compared math class and someone calling you stupid to
church. They came to church. We just are trying to work hard.
Planning is hard because we're laughing all the time.
We just barely got a key to the church so thats good.
And yeah I got super close to the Vargas family I would
say that I was part Vargas too. You will definitely meet them when we
come back. They cook good too. Here were having fun learning a dialect
called zapoteco it's hard. You should send me a zapoteco - Spanish
dictionary if you can find one. Did you know that Papa Johns now makes
cookies. They are so good. Emphasis added. Well that's what we are
doing right now. We are going to celebrate for the whole week.
 I love you,
 bye for now,

Elder Killpack

Family and Friends!
Everything is going great here in Marysville! I love it here so much!
If I didn't love Utah more I would definitely consider living here
after the mission. It's such a beautiful small town. That being said
there are a lot of problems with people not making the best decisions.
and that's mainly the youth. Since Marysville is such a small town
there isn't anything fun for the youth to do that's appropriate.
Because of this our most progressing investigator is a girl that's on
house arrest. She's incredible though and has had a really hard life.
She came to church with us yesterday and loved it! The best part was
when we were showing her around the church building and one of the
recent converts who is 14 years old bore her testimony of the
repentance process and it really touched us all. It goes to show that
the gospel can and will change anyone's life!
Other than that not much is happening here. We are finding day in and
day out. I'm striving to do what Scott suggests which is to find the
elect that will hear his voice. The elect are out there and we'll
knock everyday until they receive the truth!
Well I love you all very much. Yesterday was my dad's birthday. If I
did the math right he would have been 51. I'm so grateful for the
knowledge I have about the life after this and that our progression
doesn't stop when we die. I'm so grateful that I have been able to
come to my Savior and that I know Him so much better than before. I
know He lives!
Love you all! Have a fantastic week!

Elder Bobby Killpack's last Email from the MTC! July 25, 2014

Bobby is flying out to Munich on Wednesday. He will be able to call us at the airport! Yay!

Last email from the MTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a week from now I will be in Munich, Germany hanging out in the mission home waiting to see where my first area is and who my trainer will be! I am lucky that my first Sunday out in the field is a Fast Sunday, because that means I don't have to give a talk I just have to give a short sweet GERMAN testimony haha! So I don't have a lot of time this week because we had a bug with the ldsmail on our computers so sorry about that!!! But I promise you that this is the true church. If you don't know yet just read the Book of Mormon and pray about it because if that book is true, which it is, then the rest of the church must be true!!!

Elder Jesse Killpack, July 14

I'm filling in extras because my letters are lame. Haha. I enjoy my mission a ton and there are so many stories that I just can't tell them all. I am with Elder Minnich now finally. We have been trying to serve together since the MTC. We started together and he's from Texas. Ft Worth. We have a blast. We went straight to work after reopening an old area in Bridgeton NJ. Population 2000 and the Mexican's are 1987 of those 2000 haha. It's a lot of fun just a ton of walking. We are finding people and making appointments left and right but not all are being kept but that's normal. At least the majority are giving us real information. I miss Camden every once in a while but I know the missionary there will take really good care of my kid. We didn't have anyone at church so that was rough because it's been awhile for me since we didn't have someone. That just  means it can only get better from here. The members are solid so I definitely think we will see success here. We definitely will work hard enough. And I know that Bobby is having something super awesome goings on and I encourage the family to support that request for the German records / names. There will be an outpouring of blessings. Well I'm doing well and we will keep at it.

Love,
The Best Elder Killpack

Elder Robert Killpack July 14, 2014

Guten tag zu ihr!!!!

Today marks the half way point for us German missionaries! We have three more weeks in this prison and then we will go to Munich. It seems like yesterday I was giving my farewell talk to all you guys and now I am halfway through the MTC life. I like the MTC here, but we are just on a very strict schedule and the schedule is almost the exact same everyday and it just so repetitive. But I am learning the german that i need to learn even though i feel like I don't know how to say anything about the church yet but it's going good! If I have any advice for any missionary learning another language, It's this, Learn all the things about English grammar first and that will help so much when learning another language. My companion in a brainiac and it helps cause he knows all the grammar stuff for English and converts those grammar things into what germans use for their grammar. that doesn't make a lot of sense what I just said but i just know that grammar in english helps learn grammar and the other language of which you are learning.
Nothing exciting really happened this week so sorry about that, but one thing that did happen was one of our elders who goes too hard while playing football (soccer) didn't care that a sister was trying to kick the ball and kicked it as hard as he possibly could and broke her foot., The worst part is that after they both kicked the ball he didn't stop playing, got the ball and scored. A minute or two after he scored he asked the sister if she was okay. Well she wasn't. He had broken the Sisters foot... So there is the story for the week I hope that the field is more exciting than the MTC so I have more to talk to you about but that is it for this week,

Sincerely,

Elder Killpack

Dear Dad,

So last night I was overwhelmed with the thoughts of our German ancestors and could feel an excitement of their spirits about the gospel. I had already said my prayer for the night, but  was prompted to say another one and asked about my German ancestors to find a way to help them. Right when I said that I couldn't think or speak or move from the position I was in because the spirit. It felt  so strong. I knew that they were there hugging me and cheering me on to find them and get their work done or to start their work. So i went on in my prayer to ask if there was a way during my dream or just in the temple the next day to know who they were. I didn't get any extreme revelation during my dream, but I kept thinking this number 7. I had no idea what it meant and I still don't know what it means. As I was sitting in the celestial room today, I prayed about it to understand more what that number meant. I kept getting the same answer, there are 7 names that I need to translate and figure out their story so we can do their work. And every time I thought that I could feel the presence of the spirits with me in the celestial room. I could feel them saying tell your day what you have felt and have him find the records whether his sisters already have it or if they know where to find it and get a copy and start seeing what happened in our lives and get the stuff ready for our work. I don't know if there is a specific 7 that your sisters have but i know there is a specific 7 that i need to find. If you could help me out with that as soon as you can I know that our ancestors will truly appreciate it. And if you can find out what i need to do after I translate the records to get their names ready for the temple that would be amazing too! Thanks for everything LOVE YOU so much!

Sister Love's Email. July 14.

I also included the one she wrote to Scott.  It's sweet.

Dear Family and Friends.
Now that I see my lovely mother has put up a
blog of me and my cute brothers I feel the need to make my letters and
emails better. Especially to out-do the Elder Killpack's.
I'm so grateful for all that I have been given in this life. I have
been given the greatest upbringing from such amazing parents on both
sides of the veil, I have an amazing support system with my family and
friends, I've been born into this church and taught from a young age
to seek out the truth, I've been given answers time and time again.
Now with all these blessings I should be able to give 110% of myself
back. Where much is given much is required. Needless to say I've had
(another) call to repentance.
Missionary work is the greatest experience of my life, but it isn't
easy. I recognize full heartedly that I need to be working my hardest
for the work to go forward. I only have a year left as a full time
missionary and there isn't any time to spare! my hope is that I'll be
able to stand before you al with no regrets.
We found the cutest family the other day! They aren't technically
investigators yet, but we have high hopes! It's one of those families
that you know will receive the truth well as soon as they actually
recognize it as truth. I'm praying that it will be soon!
Other than that the mission is good. We got in a car crash. I broke
the sink. just normal missionary stuff.

Have a great week!
find someone for the missionaries to teach!
love you all!
Sister Love

Dear Scott,
Thank you for the advice... To be honest I'm just a lazy person.. I
know you already knew that but I think I just expected people to fall
into our laps when we did our part. I tracked 4 hours out of every day
in Hilliard and nothing came from it. Or so I thought. The sisters
serving in Hilliard now called me and told me that one of the
investigators that I was teaching is now getting baptized. We tracted
into him. So it does work! We haven't been working as hard as I would
like too lately so I've had a call to repentance. I'll let you know
what happens now that I'm committed. I feel like I'm repenting a lot
more out here than I ever have at home.
Thank you so much for your example. I love you so much. Today was the
first day I really started missing you. don't worry I'm doing just
fine and I'm as happy as ever! But I was telling my companion all
about the kind of person you are and I got choked up a bit. I really
 love you so much.
Tell Max that hard work never kill anyone!

 Love you!

Her companion is Sister Hendrickson.

Hello Family and Friends!
Something I learned this week was the story of my ancestors that found
the gospel. From a general conference talk.. that was just from this
past conference... I also learned that I'm related to Elder William R.
Walker.. imagine that! haha in my defense we were at a very loud house
during that last session and I guess I just missed when he talked
about my ancestors Hannah Maria Eagles and Robert Harris Jr..
The things you learn on a mission! other than that everything else is
pretty relaxed around here.. which I don't like but things seem to be
picking up! The ward is starting to get excited about the missionary
work since we now have 3 sets of missionaries here. The really do want
to help us but they don't see how they can. There is a really good
talk that was given by Clayton Christenson and his daughter Anna at
the BYU womens conference this past May. I encourage everyone to look
it up! It's a great resource for ways to be a missionary that require
thinking outside the box! I know that being a member missionary can be
easier said than done, but why does it have to be that way! I hope
that you can all feel the joy I feel from serving as you look to
spread the gospel in your own neighborhoods!
Sorry I went on a bit of a rant.. I just love missionary work! :)
Love you all!

Jesse is being transfered this week so I will get you his address next week!

That's so good to hear I enjoyed Fourth of July weekend it was nice
being close to Philly. We saw a huge show bigger than Disney. We went
to the liberty bell today. I'm sad I'm leaving my area but I'm sure
good things will come. I still speak Spanish and I'm still a
missionary and I will keep doing all I can to help others out. How is
it going sharing the gospel? I have helped 12 stretching thirteen
people get baptized. I've been present for 9 with hopefully two more
soon. But it's not about the baptisms. There was a missionary here who
was super disobedient and had more than thirty baptisms. So you never
know. I'm working on just being a better person and preparing myself
to live well after my mission and carry a good life through and
through. We will see what happens. I am up for anything and I will
definitely strive to understand better the lords will for me. So here
it goes for six more weeks somewhere

Elder Bob Killpack Will be in the MTC for another 3 weeks.

His mission home address is...

Hey everyone!! So the MTC here in England is pretty nice! We are on the temple grounds for the Preston Temple. We go there every week and there is nothing like the temple! So today all the english missionaries left for their mission homes and we are still stuck here. we have four more weeks until we leave, but its all good because we are learning so much here. We are learning a lot about the language, but even more about he gospel and how to teach the investigators or untersuchers. I have had a lot of fun here, because I listened to the tip that Carl gave me. Make friends fast in the MTC. That has helped so much. I feel like I have known everyone here forever, it's kinda weird. All the english missionaries, before they left, had a pranking war with the German Missionaries, and by that i mean all the english missionaries against me. But I want you all to know that I definitely out pranked them. The best prank i had though was with Elder Harman who is going to Scotland/Ireland.  One day after we finished for the night we were walking down the hall to our dorm. Elder Harman and I were just talking and he asked me how the german was coming along. I said that it was actually going really well, in fact me and three other missionaries are getting fast tracked and leave next Monday. He was like no way man that is so sweet. Good luck! I am super excited for you guys. So he went into his room. His room is before my room down the hall, and i hear walk into his room and tell all the missionaries in his room "did you guys hear about the fast tracking missionaries going to Munich on Monday?" So I had to take advantage of this opportunity. So every night we have a zone prayer and every missionary in the MTC is in the same zone. But the amazing part is that our zone leader is a german speaking elder. I went to Elder Mourik (our zone leader) ad told him he had to call on elder Harman for the prayer tonight, so at zone prayer he called on Elder Harman and told him to remember the fast tracking missionaries in his prayers. During the prayer one of the supposedly "fast tracking" missionaries Elder Hunt couldn't hold in his laugh. So during the entire prayer Elder Hunt was laughing so hard and everyone could hear him burst while trying to hold it in. But Elder Harman just kept going on with his prayer thinking why are they laughing did i say something dumb? Then Elder Harman finally asked to bless the fast tracking missionaries and our whole district just lost it. Right when we said amen we all bolted to the room and didn't say a word then all the missionaries came into our room and was asking what was going on, then we finally told them that no one in our class was getting fast tracked but thanks for blessing us anyways and all the Enlgish missionaries burst out laughing and starting giving Elder Harman a hard time and i don't think anyone in our room as ever laughed so hard! But ya the pranking life has been super good. Now more about the daily schedule of the life here in the MTC. It's so hard to keep our minds focus for all 12 hours of study time we have a day. Especially when every day has the same schedule. We got so bored one day that we played Vocabulary Battlefield in our District room. But I know that after this 6 weeks I will be super grateful for the hours we spent studying. Well got to go talk to you guys next week and i will try to keep the e-mails as interesting as i can!!

LOVE,

Elder Killpack
