Elder Robert Scott Killpack, December 8, 2015

Hello Mother!

Well, transfers were this week, and I will be staying in Stuttgart
with Elder Rahlf! He is a great guy, and his experiences in life have
helped me out a ton! It is amazing how the Lord works with what
companions you have and at what time you have them. I am so grateful
to be here in Germany learning the things that I am. It is so weird
how fast the time has gone by and I am scared to see how fast the time
will go, but it will all be good. This week all the sisters from my
MTC group go home... That is so weird! I really will miss those
Sisters. Everyone in the mission knows that our group is the best
group, but now half of us are going home. One of the sisters in from
Brigham City so could you possibly go her homecoming, and take
Jesse... I already told her she has to go on a date him haha. She already
knows the Killpacks, because of Brett. Her name is Sister Fenton, I
will let you know the details when I get them! Our investigators are
doing well. The common trend seems to be the fact that they don't
accept the fact that God has an Absolute Truth... It is sad and hard
to help them because they think both of us are on Gods path so there
is no reason to change. Pray for them please! Well I love you so much
and thanks for all you do for me!

Dear Family and friends,

We had a very american thanksgiving this last week! It was great! TRUKEY POTATOES STUFFING, PIE!!!!!!! I love living next to the army bases here in Stuttgart! It is the Absolute best! We also got to play a turkey bowl! AMERICAN FOOTBALL!!!!! It was the best! awww it

It was the first time that I hit a golf ball since I came out on my mission... You can only imagine right?? hahah We had some great lessons with Lamiss. She is from Lebanon. She is finishing her PHD for Physics right now... she is 33. Safe to say she is super smart haha!! but she is so golden. She has heard and understood every lesson so far, the only ones to teach now are Law of Chastiy and Word of Wisdom. She is great! I think she is just scared that she has to be perfect once she is baptized... so we taught her that the atonement is an infinite atonement and that it has to be, because we will never be fully perfect on this earth! Mosiah 26:29-30! She will come around! I know it:) transfers come in on Friday.
Love you so much and I am so grateful for you! Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,

Monday: Looked all day for comp tie but couldn't find one:(

Tuesday: We went to our district meeting here in Stuttgart, and then went to a district meeting in Göppingen, and did a super Tausch in Göppingen. I was working with Elder Meiners! It was a lot of good:) We went finding on the streets and had a lot of great conversations with people.

Wednesday: Did some service on Tausch and then came back to Stuttgart and were able to meet up with Felix! He is doing good, we are talking about what Faith actually is, because we have agreed that Faith can save us, but now we need to figure out what faith is.

Donnerstag: MLC in Munich. A long bus ride to Munich. and a great devotional from 2004 by Elder David A. Bednar

Friday: MLC all day. 6 hours of meeting with the finest in the mission! It was a great meeting where I learned a lot! Learned about, becoming a missionary, and not just going on a mission. Learned about, Why it is so important to talk to everyone, and how we can help the rest of the zone follow that lead! Then we rode a bus all the way back home to stuttgart just in time to get to bed:)

Saturday: Planned for Zone training, and taught Bruder Heuer! He is doing good! We also taught Stefan and got him to come to church with us yesterday!!! Wahoo!!! He is a great guy!

Sunday: CHURCH! It was great to see Bruder Heuer and Stefan there! We also ate some good food at the Schaal family's house! Then we went finding! and found the coolest lady from Lebanon! She is probably the most golden I have ever met! She is fantastic! then we went to Schwester Leyensätters house for some cheesecake and to sing hymns together! It was great! Love you all!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday: End of Tausch with Elder Gibson and start of tausch with AP Elder Rozan in Stuttagart. We went and taught Bruder Heuer. He is way excited and ready to keep making progress!

Thursday: End of tausch with Elder Rozan and finally working with Elder Hunt again. We also played some soccer with the youth that night as well.

My new companion´s name is Elder Rahlf and he comes from Liberty, Ohio! Friends and Family,

Monday: CLEANING CLEANING CLEANING

Tuesday: Zone training!! It was a good one! I was super excited to share the wonderful things we learned at MLC with the Zone! IT was a great Zone training! I love being with other missionaries and just trying to help them help themselves. Now whether or not I am good at that is another question haha;) Then I went on Tausch with Elder Howarth, my MTC comp, but we had to do splits on splits, We had a baptismal interview for Bruder Heuer, and Elder Adam is the DL, so he had to do the interview, but I needed to be there, because it was my investigator, so Elder Howarth went with Elder Donald during Tausch, confusing I know...

Wednesday: Was kinda sick, so Elder Howarth and I didnt get to do too much, and then we tausched back.  Elder Hunt and I then proceeded to teach the most amazing lesson on my mission! Her name is Frau Golombeck. We gave her a 5-10 min overview of what we do and teach as missionaries, so she could have the expectation of meetin more with us and so she could have the big picture in front of her, then we told her that we wanted to fill in one of those blurry holes in the big picture today, which we call the plan of salvation. She had lost her three month old daughter earlier in her life and a few other family members. We taught her what the plan was, what our goal was, why we are on the earth, where we are going, and we also told her that children who die are brought into God´s presence, because they are both clean and waiting to be ressurrected. She had asked earlier, "Wo war Gott als mein Kind gestroben ist? Er war nicht für mich da." So we addressed this question when we had taught the full plan. I started off by telling her of my experience with losing my mother when I was 10 and that is was hard for me, but what this plan meant for me, to know that I can and will see her again. I then looked at her in the eyes and told her without a shadow of a doubt, I know where God was when your Child passed away, He was greeting your daughter into His Kingdom, He was there for you and your daughter, and I can promise you, you will be with your daughter again. It was such a powerful experience. She told us afterwards, that she could feel a warm feeling in her chest, and she admitted she was feeling emotional about the topic, and that it was bringing her peace and joy. She asked us we are meeting again to fill in the other pieces to the picture! She is so amazing! When we were saying the opening prayer, I had this overwhelming feeling, that she was someone I was supposed to meet and teach on my mission. I now know why I had that feeling! I cant wait to teach again this week! I will keep you posted! We also taught a wonderful lesson with Bruder Heuer, helping him stay focúsed and true to the commandments so he could get baptized saturday.

Thursday: We went out to a less active who fed us lunch, and we talked about the importance of doing... Hopefully he will start acting on the truths and testimony which he has! I really hope so! We also played some fußball with the Jugendliche!

Friday: Tausch with Elder Werner. We ate food and taught two member families and had a great talk about life and how we can both improve ourselves and that there is no better place than the mission to do it! Or at least that is what I got out of it!

Saturday: Hans Ulrich Heuer got Baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so great! I am so proud of him making it to the end of his old life and starting on the new life comitted to the gospel of Jesus Christ! He is a great man and I love him so much! He is just amazing!!!!!

Sunday: Bruder Heuer was confirmed, and I was really sick. All I did was go to sacrament meeting just to be there for his confirmation. and then Elder Hunt and I crashed at home later and slept and slept and slept! I am feeling better today, but still a little weary. I am just conjested now. But all is good in ZION!

Love you all!!!!

Elder Robert Scott Killpack October 13, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Monday: P-day We went to Volksfest in Stuttgart with the district. We then went to Famile Heim Abend to follow that up!

Tuesday: Did some service the Familie Happel in our ward, we laid some sod for them, which makes them one of ten houses in all of Stuttgart with a lawn... We then went to District meeting and were spiritually uplifted. then we went to the district meeting of the Pforzheim district right after that, and were spiritually uplifted again! It was absolutely fantastic! Then I went on Austausch with Elder Brady in PFORZHEIM! I was able to go back to the Goldstadt again. It was a lot of fun being able to go finding on the good ole streets of Pforzheim.

Wednesday: We finished tausch and went to work again in Stuttgart. We taught Herr Heuer and helped him prepare himself for baptism! We also visited the Familie Bendle and taught their cute little family of three children!

Thursday: We taught a less active named, Stefan. He is trying to make the steps to coming back. He is a great guy, just needs to start acting. We then rode a bus from Stuttgart to Munich which is the equivalent to A bus ride from Logan to Provo:) and then had a prelude to MLC by watching a talk from Elder Holland. WOW was it a good one! MTC talks from Apostles are the best!

Friday: We played some basketball for Frühsport with all the Zone Leaders and the APs, then got ready for a 6 hour meeting with President! I love MLC they are the BEST! I always come out a lot better than I went in. He is bestimmt a master teacher! I mean it helps when he was one of the guys writing Preach my Gospel with the Apostel and all those guys! So he knows it pretty well! Then we took a bus back to Stuttgart and got home just in time to be home at 9:)

Saturday: A lot of planning for the next week and Zone training. We were able to teach Herr Heuer again, Felix, and one of our buddies, whose name I do not know how to spell haha! He is from Afghanistan. He is way cool!

Sunday: CHURCH! we had Herr Heuer, Felix, and Lucca in church this week! We had a great talk with Herr Heuer about if he wants to make his date that he needs to know and commit to living the commandments bis ans Ende! He is a little worried that he wont be able to hold to the rod, but we help him find his own strength so that he wont ever go away! I love that man so much! We went to dinner at the Familie Happels House, the ones who we helped with their lawn. Their kids are a ball of energy!! I was mount everest for the day, and they emptied everthing out of every pocket I had! haha Then we them about the importance of having a Prophet on the Earth today, and helped thetwo older boys write their parts for the childrens program, and then ate tacos!!! Elder Hunt is still shocked with the amount I ate... I dont understand I dont gain weight, but I can eat eat eat eat and eat some more haha, hopefully that never changes! But simply stated Elder Hunt ate 3 Bruder Happel (the father) ate 4, and I ate 7... They were good okay?! I would have had more, but we didnt have any more time, because we had to get going!

Well that was the week last week LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

Elder Robert Killpack, October 5th 2015

Family and Friends,

Hello! How are you all doing!? This last week, was a week of
Conferences for us. First, we had zone conference 200 M away from
Oktoberfest. And it was a good one... I mean the zone conference;)
Every topic that was touched on, was directed towards me I swear! It
was everything O needed and more. My favorite part personally, was
President Auras's testimony and training segment he had for us. He
talked about how we need to have better contact and relationships with
the member, and that we should realize what kind of impact we can
make. He talked about a missionary that he would never forget, because
of the relationship they had developed while this missionary served in
his ward. He then said Elder Killpack and I have a very special
relationship, and that it will be one he will never forget. It touched
my heart to feel of his love for me, and also to know that I have
helped someone in the ways that were unique to me, through the
experiences God has entreated me with. I love that man! Second, and
obvious, is the fact we had General Conference, also a million answers
to the questions I had! I am so grateful that we have living servants
of the Lord today who are truly inspired to share thought with us to
give us answers, that we have been searching for! I know that Thomas
S. Monson is a Prophet of the Lord and that the twelve ( including the
three new ) apostles are men called by God! I love you all and hope
you had just as good of a week as I did!

Elder Robert Scott Killpack. September 28, 2015

Dear Everyone😉

Thank you so much for the love you have shown me this last week! I
feel a great sense of the Lord's love for me, for you and for everyone
of His children. So thank you for your support and love, it has
touched my heart. I wanted to share two simple things that I have been
trying to do this last week that have helped me get through stress and
helped me work more positively. First, preparation instead of
procrastination. Elder Hunt has a quote that stuck out to me, " poor
preparation precedes pitiful performance. If we are always prepared we
perform better and we dont have the feeling, like something isnt done.
And that gets rid of a lot of anxiety, but that is a hard thing to
do... To ALWAYS be prepared, but the Lord will help,me be better at
that😀. The second is to always be kind. I feel like sometimes, when I
get with other missionaries, or with my comp I get too sarcastic, and
dont really think about what I am saying. I dont say anything super
rude, but small things add up, and I have noticed that saying those
small things, over time, take their toll on me as well. I have being
trying super hard to ONLY let nice words come out of my mouth
Ephesians 4:29. And james 3:2-5. As I have done that, I have had so
much joy! Be Kind = Joy :) I have the strongest testimony, that the
strongest force of good is the pure love of Christ. Romans 8:35-39. I
love these people so much. And Christ' s love is what changes peoples
lives! Love you all! Have a fantastic week!

Elder Robert Killpack September 14, 2015

Family,

Wow, that was the fastest 6 weeks of my life! I dont understand how it
is possible that time can go by so fast. Well lets get started with
what happened this last week. First, we had a week full of tausches
which means I was only with my comp for three of the seven days of the
week! Elder Miller and I had a solid tausch here in Stuttgart and then
right after that with Elder Donald in Stuttgart as well! We had stake
conference this last week which was a blast! We had an amazing zone
council! Transfer calls ( i am staying with elder hunt). My son Elder
Bates is having a son, so I will be a grandpa! Life is great! A
baptism in Innsbruck, a guy a taught one time there right before I
left, but it was cool to see that first lesson take place and know he
ein Bündnis mit Gott geschlossen hat! A mew baptismal date in our area
with Kevin! Sweet lessons with Felix! And a whole lot of good
conversations on the street and seeing the spirit working within them
as we testified of the truth! Love you all!

Elder Killpack
One more thing,

As we were at stake conference, one of the members from Pforzheim came
up to me. While I was there she had this disease on her hands. She had
had it for years, and could not get rid of it. The disease made her
hands blister all over and made her hands hurt really bad, and limited
her use of them, perhaps even harder for her, was how her young
students would act when they saw her hands while she was working with
them. She had a really hard time with it. She had tried many different
medicines but nothing seemed to be working. With our mortal
understanding, the situation seemed hopeless. As I was serving in
Pforzheim she very humbly asked me to give her a blessing after
church. We went into the primary room with her and her husband to
perform the blessing. I still can remember the tears coming down her
face as she explained the situation and how it was affecting her
physically and emotionally. I dont remember what was said during the
blessing, but I can still to this day remember what I was feeling,
thanks to the holy ghost. I remember feeling the greatest sense of
Love the Savior had for her. I remember feeling a peace after the
blessing that her faith would be made manifest through the healing of
her hands. I didnt think too much of it after though. The days just
passed by and then I was transferred. As I saw her again this last
sunday and shook her HAND, I realized there wasnt a SINGLE blister on
her hands. She just looked at me and starting crying and thanking me
for the blessing. I know it wasnt me and that it was the power of God!
And that because of her faith that her hands were finally healed after
years! I was over flowed with the sweetest joy to realize I was a tool
in the Lords hand in bringing somebody such joy. I am so grateful for
the power of the priesthood and the reality of its restoration!

Elder Robert Scott Killpack August 24, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Another week in Stuttgart. We had a pretty full week this last week. We had Zone Training this last week and it went rather good. We really tried to help our zone understand the importance of goals, and how we can make progress as a zone. That is the biggest thing we are trying to work on here, PROGRESS. And the best about about that, is that you can always make progress no matter what! I love it. I was lucky enough to go on a tausch with Elder Howarth this last week in Tübingen. He was my MTC comp so that was way cool to work with him again! We had a good time and I Was able to learn a lot from him! I am really grateful for the power of prayer and that the atonement always us to improve our weaknesses. I have had a rough time adjusting to this position and trying to find how the Lord sees me leading. I have been super stressed and having no time at the end of the day to slow down hasn't helped. I have really relied on the Lord so much to help me be able focus and get the Job done.  I Love you all and want you to know how much I love my mission!

Highlights of the week!! Love ya'll

Elder Killpack September 7, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Well we were really blessed this last week here in Stuttgart. I will
cut straight to the chase. As you can tell my the subject we talk
about baptism with our investigators this last week. It was really
cool to see that two of them accepting to be baptized on October
tenth!! I am way excited for them!!!! Wooooo! And the best part is
that one of them introduced himself at church as a future member of
the church of Jesus Christ! How sweet is that?! It was the coolest
thing. I just cant wait for october! We also saw a way sweet
progression in the zone. We are trying to get the zone to hit a goal
of 100 lessons every week, or in other words 100 people nourished by
the good word of God every week! When we started this goal we were at
about 60, and we made progress the first week, but since then we have
been struggling with that. But this week we hit about 80! It was way
sweet to see the zone tak a step in the right direction again. I am
proud of those guys! We also had MLC this last week. I love learning
from president Kohler. He teaches so well. I learned a lot on how to
be a better leader. And why we are here! I am so grateful for all the
amazing things I get to learn as a missionary! Love you all!

Elder Robert Scott Killpack. August 17th, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Another week bites the dust! The time goes by way too fast! I dont
like it -_- but that life gell?
I dont really know what to talk about in my weekly emails sometimes
haha! But it really was a good week. We saw a nice progression in our
Zone this last week, which if we keep that up we will hit our Zone
goal! Elder Hunt are just partying and laughing all the time! But we
do it while we help other people, it is a pretty good balance! I am so
glad we have the chance to work together, like you have no idea!
Whenever we are waiting on a train platform, we give each other
something that we have to figure out before we get on the Bahn, and it
gets us talking to people in order to find out and we get really sweet
conversations about the church 85% of the time! So life is great
thanks for all the support I love you all!

P.s. Sorry its short!

Elder Robert Scott Killpack. August 10, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Well I made it safe and sound here in Stuttgart after 6 hours of travel. haha! Elder Hunt and I are going to work great together! I am super excited to work with him. It was sad leaving Innsbruck, I mean leaving every area is hard but I am really going to miss the Alps and Italy and the Haslers and all the people that we taught. But life goes on and we just keep moving forward,  grateful for the experiences that we have had. Things in Stuttgart are a lot different than in Innsbruck. New responsibilities. New umgebung, and absolutely no time other than serving the Zone. It is kinda stressful.  I haven't  written in my hour all yet for Stuttgart! But I will get on that tonight! I love being busy!  I was busy in Innsbruck, and being busy is better than having nothing to do. I don't really have too much to write about sorry! But I am sure this week will bring a lot of stories to be told! Love you all!

My New main man Elder Hunt

Robert Scott Killpack August 3rd, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Another week down, and another end to a transfer. We got transfers calls on Saturday and I will be heading back out to Stuttgart, but with a little different calling. I will be the new Zone Leader with my main man from the MTC Elder Hunt. I am still not 100% sure how I feel about the new calling, but if there is one thing I do know, President Kohler is an inspired man  is not going to put someone where we will fail. I am very humbled for this opportunity to serve. The best leaders and just the best people in the history of mankind, lead by serving others. I am going to serve the 30 missionaries in the Stuttgart zone. The best I know how. Service is truly an amazing thing. I once heard in Landshut, that if you want an instant friend either ask them for a favor, or do a favor for them. Both of which are forms of service. Humility, service along with hard work and charity, are the keys to making the Stuttgart zone become even better. So enough of that topic, now onto what else happened this week! We had a lot of fun. First we had Tausch with the Brixen Elders. I was with Elder Gómez-Torìo in Italy and we had a lot of fun together! And we went to Bozen, and I got some sweet Italian shoes, because everything in Italy is at least 50% off right now! Oh and I got some Italian Gelato... It was rather good;)  We then went back to Innsbruck and had Tausch with the APs because they just happened to be coming through the area. And so my best bud Elder Ridd ( from the woodlands) and I had a sweet tausch, and we went hard! So hard in fact, that while we did some beat to teach for an hour my white shirt got ripped by some guy thinking he could reach in and steal the ball away from me... No worries I dunked out on him afterwards... Okay well maybe I didn't dunk it, but 6 threes in a row is my equivalent. And yes that one did happen! Playing the with "brothas" is so funny cause they go crazy when they see a white boy in a shirt and tie ballin them up haha! For example... I was on top of the key and my team mate one the left wing cut across to the right side and right after that I started to go down the left lane and then they double teamed me. I did a spin move once, faked a pass then did another acting like I didn't have the ball. When I turned around to the hoop to go for a lay up, my guy and the other one double teaming me were chasing after the guy, that they thought I passed it to. I just layed it up with no one on me. But when everyone realized I just fooled with them boys they went bezerk! They were laughing and shouting at the guys defending say stuff like, "That white boy just messed you up Adler" "you just got spun around Adler" or "Who are you defending Adler?!" Ha ha. They were just going crazy it was so funny. I am going to miss those guys! Transfer calls came so I packed up fast and had testimony meeting. I am no writing you guys! That was my week Love you all!!!

Robert Scott Killpack July 28, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

Well how do ya do?! Innsbruck is a really pretty area if you didn't know that before! I love it! Alps all around, being able to go to Italy, and eating amazing food, I guess I cant complain! Oh, and on top of ALL of that we get to help people come closer to Christ every day!! I love it! This past week I have noticed even more than I did before, that when you care for the people more than for yourself and serve them, life is a lot easier and you are a lot happier. I have also come to a greater understanding and love for the New Testament this past month. The teachings in the Bible are so amazing and priceless, if understood correctly. Thank goodness we have the Book of Mormon and JST for that! I learn something powerful every day I read. Today I was reading in Hebrews and a few verses caught my attention that were really something else for me. I will give you the references so you can go look them up in your scriptures! Hebrews 2:18 4:12 5:8. I really liked verse 8 in chapter 5. He learned obedience through the things He suffered. The man was the most obedient person to ever live, learned through what He suffered, and even while He was suffering He never made a mistake. Wow. What a perfect example. I am so grateful for the scriptures in my life. I would not trade them for anything. You can not find pure happiness in life without reading the scriptures. End of story. That is a truth, and the truth must be dealt with. There is nothing more satisfying than when you can look someone in the eyes and share with them a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel and not blink twice because you KNOW it is true. You can be bold because one day they will hear the same thing at judgement seat. I know that Christ lives, I know my mom lives, I know the scriptures are true, and that this church is the only church that has the authority and right to say they have the only true way, and like Paul told the Corinthians "The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not"  - 2nd Corinthians 11:31. I love you all and hope you can feel the truthfulness of what I have said!

Elder Robert Scott Killpack. July 21, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

It is so crazy how fast the time can go! It literally feels like yesterday was hump day, but that was a whole month ago! I cannot believe it! There was a baptism yesterday in Innsbruck for the Brixen elders and sisters! It was cool to be there and have an investigator show up and experience it! Our investigator had a great experience there and we are hoping it will be enough to give her the desire to be baptized. Jonah left for Canada this last week, so we wont be seeing him until the beginning of August, but we are going to try skype him and still help him out while he is over there. I was again amazed this week at how the Lord has blessed us. It was a disappointing week at times, with appointments falling through and so further, but the Lord blessed us the last two days so we could hit our goals still, not all of them, but we were just is amazement at how, after the trial of long/slow work, we were able to see some success at the end of the week. I am so glad to know that as long as we endure, the Lord will bless us and help us when we cant do any more. Something that I have heard from a wise senior couple here us, we need to give the best WE KNOW HOW, the Lord cant ask for more than that! i love you all, and I am so grateful for you all! Have a fantastic week!

The Lone Ranger!!

Family and Friends!

Well I am the last one standing😑 what the heck!!!! Why do Bailey and Jesse just think it is okay to just leaving me and mom hanging, I mean seriously, what is mom going to do, she has to change the entire blog now all because two people just decided to go home, like she has to change the title to " And then we were left with the chosen ONE ", she will have to change the cover photo to just me and instead of those two state flags accompanying me she will have to go buy four new flags to truly define my mission, such as.... Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. She will also have to lower her stats of three posts a week to one a week, and she will have to be bored by only reading my emails. (For that one, I am sorry mom!😔)  hahah well I guess the fun is over now and the Obituary needs to be written...

Sister Love, December 18th 2013 - July 10th 2015
Sister Love lived a long prosperous life. She was born into an apartment building somewhere near Columbus, Ohio. She had a lot of fun learning a new language...? Oh ya, she had a lot of fun learning a language, the Language of the Spirit. She did many great things and grew up so fast, before we knew it our beloved Sister Love was attending the University. She attended Ohio State University where she majored in "Photography: Frat Parties" (one of the toughest fields out there) with a minor in "Photography: OSU Football" while she was there she gave birth to a daughter, maybe the proudest day of her life. Among the many great things she did in her life span, we cannot forget the overwhelming JOY she brought into every single person's life she came in contact with. Some may have rejected that joy she offered, but it does not out weigh those who accept and followed her invitations and joined her in the enjoyment of truth and comfort. She had a powerful testimony that will never be forgotten. She had a spirit that we will forever feel. No one is more thankful for her testimony, her courage, her diligence and her example that she gave through the war in heaven, before she was born (August 2007- December 2013) than I, Elder Killpack. More importantly no one is more proud of her and her work during this life than her Fathers in Heaven. We thank her for all she has done, and say simply, Gott sei mit dir bis auf's wiedersehen!

Thank you Sister Love😇

Sorry, that makes more sense in missionary lingo, but the message is still the same! This week was a good one! We have really seen the Lord's hand in our work these past few weeks. He has helped us slowly but surely see progression in our area! Just so you guys can understand more what I mean, I will use a number, not because numbers are important, but they help us achieve and see where we are progressing. So my first week in Innsbruck we had 5 lessons for the whole week, this last week we had 20. All of that has been the Lord I am 100% convinced of it!
I am simply happy, to just be a part of the ride! Now the part we need to work on... Helping our friends practice their faith, now I didnt say keep commitments, because they are already doing that, but actually doing things that shows Heavenly Father that they trust Him and believe in Him. I have had a real eye opening week this week about my teaching abilities, and it is was a hard but good experience for me. As Elder Erickson and I were planning for our friends we were going to teach, we were discussing the Plan of Salvation. We were discussing what we should say, seeing as we had already taught them this before. Then I had the thought. What would a member back home tell us if we asked them this question. "What is the Plan of Salvation?" Pretty simple question right? The thought that came to me was that most people would tell me that it   It's the way God has prepared for us to be happy and receive forgiveness from our sins. I feel like this plan makes it possible for us to live with our families forever in heaven. A very simple answer to a simple question. I then proceeded to ask myself. Would any of my investigators be able to tell me that? Or even the fact that families can live together forever? The hard truth is, is that I cant remember the last time  an investigator has told me that families can be together forever... ABSOLUTELY UNEXCEPTABLE...😔 After hearing my story and my experiences,  none of my friends can tell me They KNOW families are forever. "It is exaltation, which means living with God forever in eternal families." this is the only line from preach my gospel from lesson 2, The Plan of Salvation, that says anything about eternal families. It is one of only four lines in the entire PMG. I have been so focused on learning the points and trying to adapt the points to the people that I forget to share one of the most powerful points of the plan. What I am trying to say and the reason why I am sharing this, is that we need to take a step back and see if we are doing one of a three things...
1) Are we following the letter of the guidelines given to us whether it be work, church, or school, so closely that we do not notice the simple spirit of the guidelines that will help us as well?
2)  Are we too preoccupied with a determined destination that we aren't willing to change course as the Lord would want?
3) Are we forgetting the simple basics that bring us joy, hope, happiness, comfort, and peace?
I realized that I was forgetting the basics and simple things that have converted me to this Gospel. We need to use the simple things and the foundation of anything before we can go further. I love you all and I need you to know that I KNOW and have a special witness that families do live forever, and nothing can or will change that precious truth which I have come to understand. I know the Savior lives, and that because he lives and through His mercy, I have the knowledge and special testimony that my mom lives. Words do not do justice for what that means to me. And I am so glad I have this time to bring others this joy. I love you all and I am so grateful for you in my life.

With all the sincerity of my heart,
Elder Killpack
