Elder Jesse Killpack January 19, 2015

Dear Family,

So this week lots of random things happened and lots of things didnt
happen. On Thursday we had a zone conference in dover which started at
nine and went til almost six o clock. It was soooooo long and
uplifting but long. haha Its a drive of about 1hr 15 min from our
place. luckily i was in the back seat this time. We learned about goal
setting and what we are going to do with the upcoming year. They are
still putting emphasis on putting names with numbers and not just
hoping to reach certain goals. Planning is involved very much so with
that. Um Shane the man we found last week is reading the book of
mormon and his friends say that he is changing a lot already and that
he is happier. He was looking for work and found a couple odd jobs to
do so we had scheduling problems and couldnt see him. But were still
excited to see that he is progressing! On Sunday we knocked on a door
that we had knocked a good 7 times and they always have something
going on and cant let us in for a lesson but this time they did and it
went super well. They understood things and asked real questions to
us. It was amazing. When we gave them their own copies of the Book of
Mormon they expressed genuine gratitude because they hadnt really
received too many gifts like that. We taught a lot of less active
lessons this week. One was a person that was really into science and
assumed that we had 0 answers for his concerns. After talking with us
he decided that he wasnt as prepared as he should have been and we
brought him to the conclusion that he needs to experiment upon the
word again. He has hope and wants to be able to believe but has kinda
fallen into mysterious paths away from the rod of iron.  For all this
his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. We
are here to learn and to grow and there is a plan of salvation
prepared for us if we choose again to accept it. God is just and
merciful but you have to understand the whole plot/plan before you can
jump to conclusions.
heres a link to anyone and everyone to come join with us and we will
learn and grow together!

love
